The Marlborough Sustainable Housing Trust is a non-profit charitable trust established to help address the shortage of affordable, good quality housing in Marlborough.

Currently, there is a shortage of suitable, affordable homes for workers and their families in the low to moderate income bracket.

Our first project is to provide opportunities for home ownership through Shared Ownership.

The Trust established the Shared Ownership project through support from the Rata Foundation.

In promoting affordable housing in Marlborough, the Trust is keen to work with others within the community. The Trust’s focus is on improving community health and wellbeing through housing and we aim to contribute to good urban design.

We also recognise and respect Te Tiriti o Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi), including the principles of Te Tiriti, in relationships with Iwi and Maori organisations. The Marlborough Sustainable Housing Trust is a non-profit charitable trust established to help address the shortage of affordable, good quality housing in Marlborough.
